This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of CHA! by Texas Pete. All opinions are 100% mine.

To begin this post, I would first like to thank Texas Pete for sponsoring today's discussion, and introducing me to their new product, CHA! by Texas Pete. This sriracha (read "chile" for those of you who are new to sriracha) sauce from Texas Pete was released less than a year ago, but it's already in the major grocery store chains across the country. I found it in my local grocery store on the same shelf as all the other Texas Pete bottles. If for some reason it hasn't made it into your area yet, you can even order it online over at TexasPete.com.

Texas Pete has been a longtime staple here in the South. You can find it on many restaurant tables and even my own pantry, as I'm a longtime fan of their original hot sauce. To try Texas Pete CHA! for the first time, I used it to top a baked potato, the perfect blank canvas, and I LOVED it! It has a fantastic flavor with the perfect hint of sweetness. Word to the wise, though, if you try as much sauce at once as I did, keep a glass of milk nearby; it's got a kick! I'm pretty new to the joys of spicy foods, as I grew up in love with generally safe, bland foods like cheddar cheese, mayo, and chicken, before I began cooking myself and experimented with the peppers and chiles my favorite cookbook and blog writers were raving about. Let me tell you, it really does open up a new world, even to appreciate old favorites in a whole new way.

CHA! by Texas Pete is not only a great condiment, as on my tasty baked potato, but it is a fantastic ingredient! I think it would a perfect fit in my Cheesy Sausage Skillet for that extra kick in the cheese sauce. For way more recipes than I would have time to invent for you in time for this post, you can head over to Texas Pete's Recipes to find ideas for seafood, chicken, appetizers, and my favorite, a Spicy Roasted Corn and Black Bean Salad! I also like their take on Country Fried Chicken you can see in the picture below that has been marinated in Texas Pete CHA! as well as has a BBQ and Texas Pete CHA! dipping sauce. YUM!
